Donate to a Child’s Education
When talking with a couple of my teacher friends, I was told there are times when they have to come out of their own pocket for classroom supplies. For what they do, teachers don’t make the best salaries and most do it out of love for their students and the determination to see them succeed. We shouldn’t have to rely on them coming out of their pocket, hence the reason for me signing up with Donors Choose. Every child has the right to a quality education. If our teachers cannot rely on the school to fund these projects, it’s up to us to take the charge in getting them what they need.
My goal is to raise as much money as I can for school projects in Texas and Louisiana, for students in low-income neighborhoods. I ask you join my challenge to raise money for these schools. For $10 or more you can contribute to helping teachers get their projects funded.
To view the type of projects that need funding, please visit my Donors Choose Challenge page. If you are a teacher and would like to submit a proposal, visit the Teachers Questions. If we come together, we can make a difference in our schools. Thanks for your time and donations to make this happen.
I’ve set up a challenge to everyone to give what you can. I’ll be funding and blogging about it as I can on a monthly basis.
