About the Site
June 2011
Since I first launched the blog, a lot has changed. I have two boys and a lot has been added to my schedule in terms of family, church and work. I’d been thinking hard about the direction of the blog since the beginning of the year and decided to make some changes. I talked about it in a post conveniently titled “Change”.
While my current priorities in life don’t allow me to serve in the manner my mind tells me I need to be, I do realize there is hope, power and freedom in information. That is what I aim to offer with this blog. I hope you enjoy some of the changes I’ve made and continue to come back often.

Welcome to www.theotalks.net. Being an avid podcast listener, I was finally convinced that it was my turn to produce a show. There is so much in the world to talk about and podcasting is one platform where the average person can have their voice heard. The podcast I subscribe to have been a source of education and entertainment. I hope to provide that same value to you as a listener.
The purpose of my podcast is to inform, educate and have a little fun on the side. The topics I cover, will deal with things I feel are important to the black community. Everything discussed will be based on my personal opinion, which I think is the beauty of podcasting. In each show, I’ll cover a diverse range of subject matter which include: social issues, politics, black history, business, technology and entertainment.
My tagline for the show is that it’s “The Podcast Where Everyone Has a Voice”, so I want to hear from you. If there is a topic you feel needs more discussion or you just want to comment on the show, email me at podcast@theotalks.net. And if you want, I’ll read your message on the air. I hope you enjoy the podcast.
Sincerely,
Theodore Johnson, III
