I've tried taking courses online, but I've found that I missed the classroom setting. The teacher was there to answer any questions I had in the forums, but it just wasn't enough.
There are some true challenges online schools face in getting students, but there's so much potential if we leverage the current and future technology that's at our disposal. And yes, we need our teachers on board as well. There can be a happy mix of technology and traditional instruction in the classroom.
