Comparing Hospital Care
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has a website that will help you find information on how well hospitals care for patients with certain medical conditions or surgical procedures. The results are from a survey of patients regarding the quality of care they received during a recent hospital stay. The good thing about this site is that it is a great way to see how your local hospital is doing in regard to patient care. The one thing to keep in mind, is that the results of the survey are around a year old.
This is a good start and I hope that it will aid in improving the public’s awareness of hospital care in their community. We need to be ready to hold these hospitals accountable when it comes to the care of our loved ones.
