President Barack Obama
It’s done. Barack Obama is now the President of the United States of America. I never in my lifetime thought this would happen. This nation has gone through a lot. It’s time to rally behind the President and begin the healing process. This is America and Americans are used to surviving through tough times. Whether you supported President Obama or not, he needs your support.
I have so much more to say, but I’m truly at a loss for words. I’m still in shock and it’ll take a couple of days for it to sink in. Thanks to all who’ve supported the blog. It’s been fun. Now I need to find something to blog about.
Goodnight all.

It’s always a numb feeling when you fight so hard for so long for a goal you’ve set that seems insurmountable. When you finally achieve the unachievable you find yourself in the moment not knowing really how to react. Well, now that we’ve achieved what our parents, grandparents, great-grands, and so forth never thought was achievable…NOW we must set new goals that can’t be achieved for our children and grandchildren to see into fruition.

Well said bro. I wish you could have been there last night. It was crazy. I’ll be posting some photos later today.
I think I’m still in shock.

Theo,
Last night was a magnificent page in the history of our country. I just wish my grandparents and great-grandparents (and all those who came before us) were here to savor this moment today. They sacrificed so much and saw so much.
Now the real work begins. President Obama will need all of us to help move the nation forward.
Thanks for the conversation and the help yesterday at Friendship-West. Please consider me a new follower of your blog. I’ll also look for you on Twitter!

Our party was great as well. I really wish we could’ve done a dual simulcast but I guess we can reserve that for 2012!

If you had told me 2 years ago, that a Black man would be elected POTUS in 2008 I would’ve replied- yeah, right. So it’s an understatement to say, I’m surprised.
I kinda see Obama’s election as a modern day “March on Washington”
It took the involvement of many different demographic groups, in a changing America and the internet, to make it happen.
I was there for the first one and I’m so glad I didn’t miss this one.
