First, really great post Theo. I've learned that politics is very dirty with very high stakes, and that one miscalculation means your shot at being president can likely be gone forever. I came into the last 12 months with very good feelings about Hillary Clinton, John McCain, and Barack Obama as potential presidential candidates. About this time last year, I felt good about our future no matter who won among those three. Throughout this process I've seen flaws from all three in how their campaigns have been managed but Barack's "A More Perfect Union" speech sealed the deal for me. Last, I've learned that people become savage, tasteless, and disdainful when they feel their stronghold is being taken right from beneath their feet. I knew the process would be ugly, but I still wasn't prepared for exactly HOW ugly. So many during this process have assumed they would be able to win because of who they are and not what they are. Hopefully, our country will be better for the journey no matter who wins on Nov. 4
