The system is not managed properly which leads to these type of situations. She obviously fell short in regards to the top 10% selection criteria and the other schools where she got accepted were quality schools. If you look at UT's website, there's a lot of criteria when selecting students. The whole purpose is to build a diverse community of students where everyone can learn from each other. I have mixed feelings on race-based admissions and I hope at some point, we won't need this type of system. I think the courts are saying 2028.
