The unfortunate part of this whole thing is that in the US we try to make everything so black & white by categorizing EVERYTHING and making everything fit into molds. Really we all want similar things regardless of race, cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, etc. We want to be safe both here and abroad, have our financial and social interests protected, and operate our lives in a society that doesn't limit us from access to resources provided to others. No party is providing those freedoms to all right now.

Thanks Darrell for writing this. I think in some way our government has forgotten the idea that they are representatives of the people. It's like the parties have derived their own idea of what it means to be a "Republican" or "Democrat" and there's no in between. The other parties like Independents, Libertarians, etc are forced to pick sides and really don't get a chance to be heard.

Any promises made by either party are just that. Promises. Know one knows how it will turn out and we can only vote for the person we hope will do the best for the country if elected.
