Road Home Project Deadline
Â
I posted a blog post about the Road Home Project where they will give survivors of hurricane Katrina and Rita up to $150,000 to rebuild or replace their damaged homes. I’ve been hearing more about it on multiple radio stations over the past two weeks, so I thought I’d post this reminder.
I haven’t heard about anyone who has tried it, but it may be worth filling out the forms to get on the list. The deadline is July 31st. If anyone has any experiences or knowledge of the program, please leave a comment. For more information, visit www.road2la.org or call 1-888-ROAD-2-LA.

My in-law went to Houston to sign up for the road home and was told that out of the 150000 the state would subtract what the insurance and FEMA has given them since the storm. I hope that someone get a handle on this my family lived their for more then 40 years in one house.

GODSON, thanks a lot for the information. You are the first person I’ve heard from who’s had something other than what’s being heard on the radio.
If you hear anything else, please let me know.
